Local 310 Scholarship Program

The Laborers’ Local 310 Scholarship provides financial assistance for undergraduate study to dependents of Local 310 members in good standing. Awards are paid directly to the college for tuition only and may be renewed for up to four academic years, subject to fund performance and the student’s continued eligibility.

Who may apply — member‑dependent eligibility

CURRENT MEMBERS

  • The applicant must be a child or legal dependent of a Local 310 laborer who:

    • has been a member in good standing for at least five (5) consecutive years before the application date, and

    • has accrued 5,000 or more contributory hours with signatory employers by the close of the application period.

  • The dependent must have resided principally in the member’s household and have been eligible to be listed with the Local 310 Fringe Benefit Fund for each of the past five years.

RETIRED OR DECEASED MEMBERS

  • A child/dependent remains eligible to apply for up to five (5) calendar years after the member’s retirement or death, provided the member met the good‑standing and 5,000‑hour requirements at retirement or time of death.

Academic requirements

  • Applicant must be accepted to an accredited college or university in an undergraduate program.

  • A minimum 2.75 cumulative GPA (validated by transcript) is required to receive and retain the scholarship each year.

Award details

  • Scholarships are issued to full‑time students only.

  • Payment is sent directly to the institution and applied to tuition.

  • Annual award amounts are determined by the performance of the scholarship fund and the student’s academic standing, for a maximum of four years.
