What are the minimum qualifications to become a CCL Apprentice?
1. Must be 18 years of age or older.
2. Must have a High School Diploma or GED (a copy is required for our records).
4. Physically able to perform the work of the trade.
5. Must submit to and pass a drug test (in compliance with current drug testing standards).
How long is the program?
Approximately 4,000 work-hours plus 436 classroom hours, which most apprentices complete in about two years.
Do I need prior construction experience?
No. The program is designed to teach entry-level applicants everything required to become a skilled Construction Craft Laborer.
When can I turn in an application?
The first Wednesday of every month between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. at Local 310’s hall (address above).
What should I bring on application day?
A photo ID, proof of education (diploma, GED or sealed transcript) and the $35 fee.
Where does the classroom training take place?
At Local 310’s Training Center located right behind the Union Hall or at the Ohio Laborers’ Training Center in Howard, Ohio. Lodging and meals are provided for multi-day courses at OLTC.
Does applying or being accepted into the program guarantee employment?
No, the acceptance of an application does not guarantee acceptance into the Apprenticeship Program, and acceptance into the Apprenticeship Program does not guarantee employment.
