FRINGE BENEFITS

Health & Welfare Fund

Coverage begins once you log 500 work-hours within two consecutive contribution quarters. The plan provides medical, prescription, dental, vision, and life-insurance benefits for you and eligible dependents.

In order to maintain your eligibility, you must work at least 275 hours in the preceding contribution quarter or 1,100 hours for the preceding four contribution quarters.

Pension Fund

A defined-benefit plan that credits every hour you work. Vesting occurs after five service years; normal, early, and disability retirements are available.

Annuity Fund

Employers contribute each hour you work to an individual investment account. Your annuity fund is vested at 2 years and is often drawn (per regulations) at layoff, retirement, or permanent disability.

Supplemental Unemployment (“SUB”) Fund

Weekly payments help bridge the gap when weather or market slowdowns keep you off the job.
