Eligibility Requirements

In order to be eligible to participate in the Construction Craft Laborers Apprenticeship Program, applicants must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Have a high school diploma or GED
    (must provide a copy at time of application)
  • Be physically capable of performing the work of the CCL.
Apprenticeship - Application Process

Local 310 TrainingEvery Laborer must have a broad knowledge of safety for the sake of their own protection and their co-workers' protection. A person entering this occupation should be punctual and be willing to perform physically demanding job tasks on a daily basis regardless of adverse weather conditions. They should have good communication skills and take pride in their performance, fulfilling their responsibilities to their employer and fellow workers.

 

How to Apply

Applications are available the first Wednesday of every month from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm at

You must be at least 18 years of age, provide a copy of your high school diploma or GED, and your photo ID along with a $35.00 Application Fee (non-refundable).

 
Applicants will be scheduled to take a written test.  Applicants scoring medium or higher on the test will then be called for an interview.  Applicants who pass the written test and interview, will be placed on a "Ranking List" according to their scores at the interview session. The applicant having the highest score will be at the top of the list while all applicants then listed will be in descending order based on score.  "The Ranking List" will be retained for a minimum of two (2) years.  As openings for the registration of new apprentices occur, the highest ranked applicant will be notified of selection by phone and/or mail.  It will be the responsibility of the applicant to keep the Building Laborers' Local 310 informed of their current mailing address and telephone number.  Applicants who are placed on the "Ranking List" must also check in with the Building Laborers' Local 310 either by phone or mail every 30 days to stay active.


 The acceptance of an application does not guarantee acceptance into the Apprenticeship Program.
Acceptance into the Apprenticeship Program does not guarantee employment.
 
 

The Laborers' Local 310 / Construction Employers Association, Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee believe in a safe, drug-free workplace. Apprentices indentured into the program will be required to undergo a drug screen, at their own expense, immediately prior to being referred to an employer.
